PPCC Nursing Students Achieve 100 Percent Pass Rates

Posted by KKovaly on June 20, 2014

Colorado Springs, Colo. – June 20, 2014 – The Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) Nursing program has now achieved a 100 percent NCLEX pass rate for three consecutive years. These pass rates indicate the high quality of professional nurses entering into our community’s workforce.

Many students use these pass rates to choose a college because it acts as a guide to the quality of the program and their potential for success in passing the national licensing exam upon graduation.

The PPCC nursing program graduates approximately 85 students each year. They complete the program with an Associate Degree in Nursing which allows them to become a Registered Nurse upon passing the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX).

Started in 1971, the PPCC Nursing program maintains full approval from the Colorado State Board of Nursing and accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Pikes Peak Community College, in its 46th year of operation, is a two-year college offering 175 associate degrees and various certifications in career and technical fields. With four campuses and two military education centers in El Paso County, PPCC serves approximately 22,000 students annually.
