Hybrid Courses: The Best of Both Worlds

Hybrid, or blended, courses combine on-campus class sessions with Internet-based coursework. In most cases students will meet once a week for lecture, hands-on learning, and face-to-face group activities. Remaining assignments will be completed online. Students can access online activities from any computer connected to the Internet, including those in campus computer labs.

When you register for classes, look for sections with an H in the section number (for example, BUS 115-1H1). 1H* sections have face-to-face meetings at Centennial Campus; 2H* sections meet at Rampart Range Campus, and 3H* sections meet at the Downtown Studio Campus.

Important Note: Unless they are part of the Weekend College at the Downtown Studio, hybrid classes begin on the first day of the semester, whether the meeting is online or in person. Plan to log into the online portion on the first or second day of the term.

If you decide to take hybrid classes, get started right by attending an orientation, especially if this is your first class that includes an online component.
