Career Exploration

Choosing a career is an important process that involves identifying your interests, researching related careers, setting a goal and making a plan of action. Review our Ideal Career Path document for more insight into the career process.

Career Assessments

There are a multitude of computer-based systems that assist you through your career-decision-making process. Here are a couple of assessments you may take free of charge.

Focus 2 is an online, self-guided, interactive career and education planning tool. Read more about Focus2.

  • Assess your career and educational goals.
  • Explore your interests and match them to specific jobs.
  • Save your preferred jobs.

To get started simply register for a free account and use the access code "aardvark".

If you are returning to Focus 2, log-in.

ONET Interest Profiler

Take the ONET profile test to explore what type of fields you may be interested in. Be sure to save or print your results as ONET will not save your work. You can also contact us to review your results.

After you have taken the profile test, you can review PPCC programs by type to see which best fits with your assessment.

Individual Assistance:

Meet with a Career Advisor to discuss your results. Together we will discuss tools that will be most effective for your needs. We may recommend additional assessments/assignments or suggest you attend one of our workshops.

Career advising is provided on a drop-in basis. Simply sign in at our advising desk and a career advisor will see you as soon as possible. Career advisors are available:
