Latino Student Union
The Latino Student Union has new officers onboard and is gathering momentum! The meetings are on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in room A-216a at Centennial Campus.
LSU's purpose is to encourage PPCC students who represent the wide varieties of Latino culture to come together with one voice, one mind and body. Another stated purpose is to foster retention of said students by providing a regular time and place for Latino students to communicate with one another concerning their trials and triumphs at home, in the community, and at the college. Through the club, they hope to help the Latino students recognize the value of their cultural identity as an important addition to the PPCC student body and to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Latino cultures.
Remember, though, that the club is open to anyone, regardless of their cultural background. If you have an interest in Hispanic/Latino cultures or want to join with your Latino friends, you are absolutely welcome!
