All are invited to come and hear Joyce Aubrey, founder of "Finding our Voices," an organization advocating for adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma. Aubrey's mission is to bring awareness of the cause. Follow her 35-year journey to healing through art in this compelling lecture presentation. Laura BenAmots, Gallyer director, says, "This presentation gets to the core of what the 'EXPRESSIONS Art is my Voice' exhibit is all about. Ms. Aubrey's generous and honest talk shows.....the impact that the creative process has had on her quest to come to terms with childhood trauma. Her story is both heart-wrenching and inspiring."
Adult subject matter will be discussed and this event is not appropriate for minors (note: they will not be admitted). The audience will be invited to participate in a Q&A session following the talk.
Light refreshments will be served. For more information: laura.ben-amots@ppcc.edu or jcaubrey@gmail.com.
