Have you read and/or seen "The Help" and it evoked strong feelings for you?
As a part of PPCC's recognition of Black History Month, join us for a panel discussion about race, gender, class and friendship in the pre-Civil Rights South. The panel will include Katherine Scott Sturdevant, PPCC history faculty, Dionne Howell, PPCC communication faculty, and Dr. Claire Garcia, Colorado College English faculty. Each brings a unique and different perspective and focus to the panel, with Sturdevant as the history expert, Garcia looking at the film perspective, and Howell from the literature perspective.
Free and open to the public. For more information, call Matt Hopper, campus activities coordinator, at 502-2091 or matt.hopper@ppcc.edu.
