Fitness Center hours:
Monday – Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – Noon

Location: A-262 Centennial Campus

The Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art cardiovascular/weight training facility The facility has computerized bicycles, rowers, treadmills, elliptical trainers, Paramount Super Circuit, and strength training equipment.  To use the fitness center, staff and students must sign up for the Wellness Program or register for one of the physical education classes that use the Fitness Center.  Students at PPCC are eligible for a fee of $100 for four months.

Orientations are required for all members prior to using the Fitness Center. The Orientation includes a 3-minute step test at a pace of 24 beats per minute and instruction on the proper use of all equipment.  Students must complete an application and submit it to the Fitness Center along with a Student Wellness packet (available from the Fitness Center office).  A Wellness ID is required when checking in to workout.  Student Wellness members can purchase their IDs from Campus Life for $5.00.  All Fitness Center program participants must provide their own towel for use on the equipment (towels should be placed between the individual and the equipment) and their own towel for showering.  Children are not allowed in the Fitness Center or Gym. Cell phones are not to be used while using the equipment
 

Proper workout attire:

  • Shorts or Sweats
  • T-shirts with sleeves
  • Gym shoes


Program options are:

  • Off-peak hours membership
  • Eight-week or 16-week memberships
  • Students can purchase a semester membership for $25 per month or $100 for the semester!
  • Unlimited workouts
  • Computerized fitness analysis
  • Free towels and locker rental

Current members may check out lockers at no charge. Bring a lock, find a locker without a lock on it and check it out by giving the office staff your name and locker number. The locker will remain checked out to you until the end of the semester. Failure to check out a locker while leaving a lock on it overnight will result in the lock being cut off.  Locker verifications will take place weekly. Any unverified locker contents will remain in the Fitness Center for one week and then be turned over to Public Safety. Belongings may not be left with Fitness Center staff. Fitness Center staff is not responsible for any theft or loss of personal property.
 
All Fitness Center participants must be logged off the computer and be out of the locker room by posted closing time for that day.

You cannot charge a Fitness Center membership to your financial aid.

Team Sports

The PPCC Recreation program includes intramural, recreational tournaments, and wellness events.  Club sports such as skiing, basketball, volleyball, karate, soccer, cycling and others are available.  For more information call (719) 502-2555.
