Art Department

Our mission is to equip students with the skills necessary to achieve their goals. We expose them to the broad world of possibility offered in the Visual Arts while guiding them towards a productive profession in the field of their choice.

The PPCC Art Department is a community where excellence and dynamic challenges are the norm and where the rewards are artistic distinction and the solid foundation with which students can celebrate their potentials and fulfill their career goals.

Academically, we teach our students to research, to analyze and  to synthesize information. Creatively, we ellicit integrity and distinction while teaching concept development, technical mastery, critical analysis, and originality.  Our Art students are offered opportunities to exhibit artwork at the  college as well as at professional venues, to interact with students from  Art Departments throughout the state, to work in collaboration with each other on public art projects  and on Cross-Disciplinary art projects.
