    Here at PPCC: Teaching computer applications and business technology classes at PPCC since 1993.

    In business and industry: 25+ years of industry experience outside of teaching and began using computers on the job in late 1980s.

    Education and certifications: M.Ed. degree in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University, Microsoft Office User Specialist certification in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Outside interests: Reading for pleasure, volunteer ESL and literacy tutoring.

    Here at PPCC: 11 years’ experience teaching CIS and CSC courses including lecture, online, and open-entry classes.

    In business and industry: Partner in Advanced Professional Training, Inc. providing online training in a variety of business settings.

    Education and certifications: B.A. and M.A from the University of Kansas. Vocational CTE credential in Computer Information Systems.

    Outside interests: Fly Fishing, Skiing, Music (oboe and vocal) and hunting.

    Here at PPCC: I have been teaching as an adjunct since 2004 and fulltime for the past two years. I enjoy teaching staying on top of industry trends and bringing current events into the classroom to create an active learning environment.

    In Business and Industry: I started out as Computer Programmer and then eventually worked my way into a Database Administrator position. I worked for a number of companies in the Colorado Springs Area including Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications, Oracle and WorldCom.

    Education and certifications: Associate of Science in Computer Science
    Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems.
    Master of Science in Computer Information Systems

    Outside interests: I am a Colorado native who truly loves being outdoors. I live on 70 acres where I enjoy gardening, raising farm animals and cooking for my family.

  • Nancy Meiklejohn Nancy Meiklejohn Faculty (719) 502-3269 DT-S210f, Box D37, Downtown Studio

    Here at PPCC: Teaches computer applications, presentation skills, and project management.  Serves as the CIS department chair and also coordinates the CIS internship program.

    In business and industry: Directed and managed the design, production and delivery of customized training for local business and industry clients.  Designed curriculum and taught company-specific computer software systems as well as Microsoft applications.  Served as a quality systems advisor.

    Education and certifications: Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Education.  Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Word and PowerPoint. Myers Briggs Type Indicator Qualified.

    Outside interests: Spending time with my family, camping, fishing, scrapbooking, watching sports, and serving in church ministries.
