Welcome to Fire Science Technology!

Pikes Peak Community College offers Associate of Applied Sciences degrees in Fire Science Technology, Fire Service Management, Fire Science Wildland and Homeland Security.  In addition to the Associates degrees, we offer a PPCC Basic Firefighter certificate.  We award credit for prior learning for your training and certifications that meet FEMA, EMI, local, state and NFPA standards.  These certifications can give you credit for both required technical courses, as well as credit for elective hours. In addition, any previous college credit that is appropriate for our degree can be transferred to PPCC.  Please call to make an appointment to talk with a FST advisor about our online and on-campus classes to get you started and working towards graduation.

PPCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, The Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Colorado Community College System.  The Fire Science Technology department is accredited by the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) via the National Fire Academy. Always confirm any degree you are looking at is regionally accredited through the Higher Learning Commission.
