Colorado Springs, Colo. – Jan. 31, 2013 – Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) invites college-bound community members to College Goal Sunday, a national event helping students with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Feb. 10, 1-4 p.m. at PPCC’s Centennial Campus, 5675 S. Academy Blvd., room A300.
“Each year the financial aid process frustrates students. This quick, easy and free event alleviates that frustration,” said Karlene Hansen, PPCC assistant director, Financial Aid. Last year we helped more than 100 families complete the FAFSA. This year, we hope to help even more.”
At College Goal Sunday students, along with their family, receive free assistance completing the FAFSA, which is required for grants, scholarships, work-study and federal student loans. The event is staffed by PPCC college representatives who volunteer their time to ensure hundreds of people can pursue their educational dreams.
