Randy Weber, Ed.D., Joins PPCC as VP of Enrollment Services

Colorado Springs, Colo. - May 24, 2012 - Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) President Lance Bolton, Ph.D., is proud to announce and welcome Randy Weber, Ed.D., as the college’s new Vice President of Enrollment Services. In his new role, beginning June 18, Weber will oversee activities and budgets for Enrollment Services, which includes Admissions, Registrar/Records Office, and Financial Aid; the Career Planning and Advising Centers; Campus Life; Child Care Services; and the Dean of Students.
“With more than 13 years in the Enrollment and Admissions arena, Randy is bringing specialized and targeted experience to the PPCC team,” Bolton said. “He has had great successes at his previous institution by creating access to help students harness the opportunities provided by community college.”
Joining PPCC from Allen Community College (ACC), located in Iola, Kansas, Weber served as Vice President for Student Affairs and also Athletic Director. In his role at ACC, he led Student Life, Financial Aid, Admissions, Counseling/Advising, the Registrar’s Office and the Fitness Center. Before his appointment as Vice President, Weber served as the Director of Admissions for three years.
“I have long had a passion for helping students realize their academic dreams by helping them remove barriers to college completion,” Weber said. “I was instantly impressed by PPCC’s commitment to excellence, and the quality individuals who are part of the PPCC team.”
Outside of work, Weber has been involved in several professional and educational organizations, most notably the Kansas Chief Student Affairs Administrators (KCSAA). He has also been a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and served as a board member with the Allen County Young Professionals and THRIVE Allen County.
A product of community colleges, Weber holds an associate’s of science degree, a bachelor’s of science and master’s of science in education and a doctorate in education.
Weber moves to Colorado with his wife Sasha and his 13-year-old-son Chino. With an avid passion for outdoor recreation, especially mountain biking, he is looking forward to enjoying the quality of life specifically found in the Pikes Peak Region.
