Lights. Camera. Action!

Headed to a movie theater soon? If your answer is yes, be sure to arrive a little early to see PPCC’s exciting new advertisement during the previews.

The PPCC Marketing Team recently produced a 60-second video that will air during the preview section at local theaters. This video is the first in a series of three advertisements set to run before film screenings at Carmike and Cinemark movie theaters this year.

Each of these ads communicates core elements of the PPCC brand and showcases that we’re a quality institution with diverse and flexible course offerings, the best educational value in the region and that we strive for our students to succeed. However, the way these concepts are communicated is very unique. Each advertisement mimics a film “trailer” in different genres: An action adventure flick, a coming-of-age love story and a high-tech spy thriller all get the PPCC treatment. The spots also feature the talents of some of our staff, faculty and students! (Thanks to Laura Araujo, Wayne Artis and all involved in this fun video shoot!)

The idea to create these innovative spots came directly from PPCC students. During research conducted last fall with current and prospective students, the college learned that students are most receptive to seeing and hearing advertising while at the movies.

The first video started running last Friday at theaters, but readers of the Bulletin don’t have to head to the movies; you can check out the 60-second spot now! (Just click here or on the image below.) There's also an extended “Director’s cut” coming soon, so be sure to visit our YouTube channel to see more!
