Mental Health First Aid Training

Misty Hull, February 2, 2012

PPCC is offering a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course, Feb. 16, 17 and 24 at Centennial Campus.

Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. It’s a 12-hour course and can be taken for continuing education credit through PPCC. PPCC administration supports employees wishing to take this training.

Organized by Misty Hull and Deborah Licht, both psychology faculty,  the training is free and available to all employees, but employees must attend all sessions in order to earn a certificate or continuing education credit.

There are only a few spots remaining for the February session. Those interested in attending should call either extension 3194 (Misty Hull) or 3297 (Deborah Licht).
