Agriculture 

Agricola (EBSCO)
Contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library dating back to 1970 and includes more than 2.5 million citations—many articles can be accessed through Academic Search Premier. Citations are comprised of journal articles, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture.

Animals 

Animals (EBSCO)
EBSCO’s Encyclopedia of Animals offers in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals. Automobiles 

Auto Repair Reference Center (EBSCO)
The Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC) contains the complete automotive repair manuals that were originally published in the Chilton Total Car Care Series. The content includes more than 150 easy-to-read, illustrated auto repair manuals on all auto repair procedures for about 26,000 vehicles identified in the AAIA table (a table of numerical ID codes for every car made); approximately 70,000 Technical Service Bulletins; 100,000 enhanced wiring diagrams; over 150,000 factory drawings and step-by-step photographs; and labor time guide and estimates. Text and many images will be available in PDF and GIF format.

A comprehensive database that provides information on over 3.8 million book titles in a wide range of formats, including large print, books on tape, etc. Fiction and non-fiction titles for juvenile and adult audiences are included in the database, in all genres. Provides articles on virtually all subject areas related to business back to 1965. Searchable cited references back as far as 1998.

Web-based versions of print books. All searchable by keyword, subject, author or title. Requires only a web browser to view. A citation for each eBook page is available from the citation link. Create a personal account to create notes and add books to your list.

Designed for professional educators, provides a specialized collection of education journals, including some 350 peer-reviewed titles. Also contains more than 200 educational reports.

ERIC — Educational Resource Information Center (EBSCO)
Provides some 2,200 digests, along with references for additional information and citations & abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals.

Looking for a specific magazine? Use Serials Solutions to find out if the PPCC Library has the newspaper, magazine, journal or any other periodical publication in print (paper) format, or in electronic (internet) format or both formats. General Reference  

Academic Search Premier (EBSCO)
Academic, multi-disciplinary database. Provides articles from about 4,650 journals including some 3,600 peer-reviewed titles. Articles dating back to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals. Searchable cited references are provided.

CQ Researcher
Published weekly. The single-themed reports offer in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues, with regular reports on topics in health, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the U.S. economy.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
Provides differing points of view on current social issues; including viewpoint articles, topic overviews, government and organizational statistics, biographies of social activists, court cases, profiles of government agencies and special interest groups, newspaper and magazine articles, as well as links to reviewed and subject-indexed web sites.

MAS Ultra (EBSCO)
Provides articles from general interest and current events publications with information dating as far back as 1975. Also provides pamphlets, reference books, biographies, primary source documents, and an image collection of photos, maps, and flags.

TOPICsearch (EBSCO)

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia (EBSCO)
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

McClatchy-Tribune Collection (EBSCO)
The McClatchy-Tribune Collection includes a 90-day archive of approximately 100 newspapers from the McClatchy-Tribune wire service. The data is updated daily.

Newspaper Source (EBSCO)
Provides articles from some 30 national and international newspapers, as well as 200 regional newspapers. Also contains television & radio news transcripts.

FirstSearch
Consists of several databases, including WorldCat, World Almanac, ArticleFirst, ECO, ERIC, and Medline, which primarily provide abstracts to articles.
