Soldiers using Active Duty Tuition Assistance must see their Education Counselor prior to registering with PPCC.
Placement Testing:
All new PPCC students must complete the Placement Test prior to course registration. Transfer students should contact the Ft. Carson office prior to taking the Placement Test. Placement Testing is conducted at Fort Carson on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Placement Testing is conducted on a walk-in basis.
CLEP Testing:
Conducted on alternate Wednesdays by appointment only, 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. For additional information and/or to schedule an appointment, please call 719.502.4200.
Computer Lab:
The computer lab is open for the conduct of Open Entry/Open Exit Courses. The lab is open for student use on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Fridays 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Access to Fort Carson:
Non-Department of Defense students must enter the post using Gate #1 which is located off Highway 115. Each time the student enters the post their vehicle will be searched and entry will be recorded. A student pass WILL NOT be issued. The extra time required to enter at Gate #1 should be added to the student's drive time to Fort Carson so they are not late to class.
Students must ensure they have a current driver’s license, vehicle registration form and proof of vehicle insurance. Students can enter Fort Carson between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
