Native American Student Alliance Club
The Native American Student Alliance club is new on campus, and welcomes new members. They meet on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. at the Downtown Studio Campus in the Student Commons. This club was formed to provide cultural awareness about Native cultures, provide unity for those interested in Indian issues, and to educate about the history and current activities of American Indian People. All are welcome to join, you do not have to be Native to join this group. Carise Yazzie-Gonzalez is the president (carisegonz77@hotmail.com), and Joanna Grey (502-3190) is the advisor. Celebrate National Coming Out Day with the Pride Alliance
Celebrate your individuality, display gay pride and support your friends at the National Coming Out Day on October 8 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Centennial Campus Atrium, sponsored by the Pride Alliance Club. Contact Laura at 502-3384 for more information.
The purpose of National Coming Out Day is to promote government and public awareness of gay, bisexual, lesbian and transgender rights and to celebrate homosexuality. Many choose this day to come out to their parents, friends, co-workers and themselves.
Christian Challenge Club
Christian Challenge is a club for students that desire to live their life according to God and His Word. They will be talking about what that looks like as a college student with so many other challenges in life. If you believe or not, have questions or just want to make some friends, come on by.
The club will meet every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in room C-211 on Centennial Campus. Hope to see you there!
