Juan Williams delivers powerful message to PPCC audiences
|

Juan Williams |
The PPCC Foundation hosted Mr. Juan Williams, senior correspondent for NPR, political analyst for Fox Television, and columnist for The Washington Post for a trio of presentations on Tuesday, October 7.
In the first event, held in the morning in the Centennial Campus theater, Mr. Williams addressed students from PPCC and from area high schools about the power of an education, self motivation and strategies to overcome obstacles to success. The second event, a fundraiser luncheon held at the Broadmoor to benefit the PPCC Multicultural Male Retention Initiative, was attended by more than 270 business and community leaders. At 5 p.m., Mr. Williams addressed educators about ways to support and encourage multicultural students to stay in school and achieve success in their education and in life. The presentations have ignited lively discussions all over campus and throughout the community.
The Colorado Springs Gazette interviewed Mr. Williams, PPCC President Kinkel, “Coach” Eddie Hughes, coordinator of the PPCC Multicultural Male Retention Initiative, and PPCC student Ernest Garrison for an excellent article that was published in the October 5 issue.
