More than 500 students and their families attended College Goal Sunday on February 8, to get free expert help filling out the FAFSA financial aid application. Financial aid professionals from many area colleges and universities were on hand to assist the record crowds, who overflowed the Centennial Campus Computer Lab and several floors of the Rotunda.
The PPCC offices at the Fort Carson Education Center have undergone an extreme makeover. During peak times, the office serves more than 100 students per day, so the old cramped counter with limited access just didn’t cut it.

Bake sales abound! Bring your cash and your sweet tooth, and stop by the Natural Resource Technology bake sale on February 9, and the Culinary Arts and SkillsUSA Early Childhood Club bake sales on February 12. The SkillsUSA students will also have a variety of handcrafted items on sale.
In celebration of Black History Month, PPCC will host 'Lessons from Brown vs Board of Education,' the landmark court case that affirmed educational equality was a right for all people, regardless of race or ethnicity. The event will be held on Wednesday, February 18 from 2-4 p.m. in room C-102 on Centennial Campus.
Enjoy an evening of music, song and dance at the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Spring Gala, 'An Evening of Delight,' on Thursday, February 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Centennial Campus Theater. Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for students with ID.
