Tuition Payment Change Information
Classes must be paid for upon registration to ensure your place in the class. Drop for non-payment will take place on June 6th, 2013 for the summer semester.
Payment must be received no later than June 6th, 2013 at 5:00 pm. If you do not pay for your classes by June 6th, you will be dropped from all your summer classes unless you have:
- been awarded financial aid (awarded is the key part of this sentence); or
- paid for your classes in full, or
- created a payment plan within the MyPPCC Portal

Tuition Refunds/Adjustments:
To receive a tuition refund or adjustment, students must drop classes by the deadline listed in the class schedule. No refund or adjustments will be made after deadline unless documentation of extenuating circumstances, such as extended illness of the student or immediate family member or extended unplanned military service, can be provided. Tuition Appeal forms are available in the Enrollment Services Center on all four campuses. Tuition Appeal Medical Documentation forms must accompany the tuition appeal form if the appeal is medically based. Appeals for past school years cannot be considered. Contract programs may have different refund procedures. Please call (719) 502-3004 with any questions about the refund/adjustment process that relates to tuition appeal.
Higher One
Pikes Peak Community College recently partnered with Higher One, a financial services company focused solely on higher education, to bring a new method for receiving tuition refunds through the CCCS Refund Card.
PPCC Students will no longer receive a paper check. Instead, you will have a choice to either have your refund direct deposited on the Higher One debit card or into your personal account, based on your preference. Since the CCCS Refund card will be mailed to your personal address in Banner, it is very important that students verify it is correct.
Once received, students will need to activate their card by following the instructions mailed with the card, or visiting www.ppcc.edu/refund. Upon activation, you will be asked to select your preferred method of receiving your PPCC refund. You can choose “Easy Refund” method or have funds directly deposited into your existing bank account. Students should hold on to their card. Even if you are not currently expecting a refund from Pikes Peak Community College, there may be a refund due to you in the future. If you throw it away or lose it, there will be cost to replace it. Visit www.ppcc.edu/refund to learn more about choices and the benefits that accompany the all-new CCCS Refund Card.
Non-Refundable Charges/Fees:
- Return Check Charge: $20.00
Non-Resident.
To be considered a Colorado resident, a student must show proof of residency in the state for the immediate 12 months prior to the start date of the semester, and meet other requirements. If you are a new student who has been classified as a non-resident and feel you are a resident or if you are a continuing non-resident student and feel you now meet residency requirements, you must petition for this change by the first day of the semester you plan to attend. Turning in a petition does not guarantee you will be changed to resident status. If your appeal is denied and you do not drop your classes by the drop date, you will have to pay non-resident tuition.
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program.
Residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming qualify for a special tuition rate. WUE students are not eligible for the Colorado Opportunity Fund stipend. The student must mark on the application for admission that he/she seeks admission as a WUE student. Requests for WUE enrollment must be done each semester. Contact the Enrollment Services Center at 719-502-3000 for additional information.
