EnrollmentEight Easy Steps to Enrollment

Make your life easier. It’s simple! Just follow these Eight Easy Steps to Enroll, and you’ll be an official college student in no time. Plus, you’ll be well prepared to start your first day of class, with no last-minute surprises. Got questions? We’re here to help. So don’t wait – get started now.

STEP 1. Sign up now for the College Opportunity Fund (COF)
Why pay more for your college education? The College Opportunity Fund, or "stipend," is money set aside by the state to invest in your education. Currently, you’ll save $68 per semester credit hour when you sign up, and that adds up to Big $$. To be eligible, you must be a qualified Colorado resident. Sign up today - it's easy and it's fast! To apply go to http://cof.college-assist.org. You’ll save a bundle on tuition.

STEP 2. Apply online now
It’s simple. Click HERE, follow the instructions, and click “send.” No fuss, no muss, no messy cleanup. Admission is open to anyone 17 or older, and the best part is, there’s no fee. If you’d like assistance, you’re welcome to come in person to any Enrollment Services Center – we’re happy to help! Got questions? Call 719-540-PPCC (7722), or toll-free 866-411-PPCC (7722).

STEP 3. Apply for Financial Aid
Getting financial aid for college is easier than you think – the trick is getting your application in early. All it takes to apply for all different kinds of financial aid, including grants, loans, scholarships and work study programs, is a single application form, called the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). But the earlier you get your application in, the better your chances to qualify for a good financial aid package. So get started today - apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, or pick up an application at any PPCC Enrollment Services Center. Need help? Speak to one of our Financial Aid Advisors at 719-540-PPCC (7722).

STEP 4. Take the Placement Assessment
This is one test everybody aces. It’s a quick evaluation of your basic skills that helps your advisor, and you, know where your college education should start. If you have ACT or SAT scores already, or if you’ve taken college classes before, you might not need a placement test. But to be on the safe side, contact the Testing Center today at 719-502-3370.

STEP 6. Career Planning & Advising
We can help you figure out your education and career goals, map them to the PPCC academic plan that fits you best, and help you choose the best classes. If you are a new student enrolled in a degree or certificate program, you’ll be assigned your personal faculty program advisor.
