Charter School Students
Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) offers Charter School students the opportunity to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment program to earn Dual Credit for college classes (transferable college credit and high school credit at the very same time). The Concurrent Enrollment program has also been known as the PSEO program (Post Secondary Enrollment Options program). Under the new Concurrent Enrollment program, any student attending a Charter School, in grades 9 thru 12, who qualifies for college level classes, may participate in the program. In addition, there are provisions that may allow a student in grade 12 to participate in college preparatory classes as well.
Under the provisions of the Concurrent Enrollment program, Charter Schools are allowed to pay the college tuition, books and fees for the college classes their students take at the community college. The details of how much a Charter School will pay to send their students to PPCC are specific to each Charter School. Parents and students are well advised to check with the Charter School to determine exactly what financial assistance is available through their school. A list of Charter Schools with whom PPCC has established working partnerships is found on this website, along with their contact information.
