How do I apply for a Student Loan?

These are the steps that you must take in order to get a student loan at PPCC.

  1. Did you mark on your FAFSA that you are interested in receiving a student loan?  If so, you have been offered a loan on your award letter.
  2. You will need to complete and submit to the Enrollment Services Center an LNDF form which lets the financial aid office know how much funding that your are requesting and your anticipated graduation date.  You may fax your LNDF form back to us at 719-502-2069 or simply bring it into one of our Enrollment Services Centers.
  3. Now that PPCC is participating in Direct Loans, everyone must do an Entrance Counseling Session - even if you did one already with a previous FFELP loan, you will need to do one for Direct.  This should only take you 15 - 20 minutes.
  4. You will also need to do a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) - even if you did one already with a previous FFELP loan.  Remember that the Federal Government is now your lender.
