How to Apply & Enroll

The process has been simplified.  It is now just four steps, and one form!

1. Apply for Admission to PPCC.

The entire admissions process at Pikes Peak Community College begins with the Application for Admission.  You'll need your parent's driver's license and your own social security number to complete this step.  There is no charge on the application fee and the application process is easy.  Please, make sure you use parent information when answering the residency questions at the end of the admissions application.

And while you're applying for admission to the college be sure to apply for COF (the College Opportunity Fund).  The College Opportunity Fund, or "stipend", is money set aside by the state to invest in your education. This will give you the lowest tuition rate possible if you are an in-state resident.  If you missed this step while going through the application for admission process, just  Click Here  to apply for COF.

You'll know this step is complete when you have received your Student ID number (we call it your "S" number).

2.  If you are under the age of 17, read and complete the  Under 17 Waiver Form.

Next, if you're under the age of 17 years old, you'll complete an "Under 17 Waiver".  It is a single page form that you'll download from this site, complete the form, sign it (both the student and their parent must sign the form), and then deliver it to the High School Programs office at the Centennial Campus - Room A 220.  It'll take a day or so to process the form.  Once it has been processed, you'll receive a call from Glenn Englund telling you that we have removed the age based holds from your account, and you are free to enroll in classes - once we have recorded your placement test scores - which is the next step below.

3.  Take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test.

The Accuplacer Test is the placement test used by Pikes Peak Community College to determine the appropriate level of placement in college courses.  Note: The placement test can be waived if the student has ACT or SAT scores demonstrating college-level proficiency.  There is no cost the first time you take the Accuplacer test at PPCC.  There is no appointment necessary.

The Accuplacer Test is given at any of our four campus Testing Centers, located as follows:
Centennial Campus, Room A-117
Downtown Studio Campus, room D-114
Falcon Campus, Room 119
Rampart Range Campus, Room S-101

Some students have found it very helpful to practice for the Accuplacer test before taking the test.  To do so, simply Google "Accuplacer".  You'll find several sites that will offer you the opportunity to take Accuplacer practice tests.

4.  Decide on what classes you can and will take, and register for those classes online.

Last, assuming all of the above is complete, you decide on the classes you are qualified to take and register for those classes online.  You can pick up a course catalog and schedule at any of our four campuses, or you may go online to look at both.  You may also go to one of our campuses and ask to speak to someone in our Career Planning & Advising centers to get some advice on what classes might be most appropriate for you to take.  Once you have decided on what classes you are qualified to take - and are interested in taking - you go online and register for those classes.  Simply go to our website and click on the "LOGIN" button.  You'll use your "S" number and PIN to get in to your account, and just follow the links to register for classes.

There you go!  You're on your way!

Once you have registered for classes, you can print your schedule, go to the bookstore to buy your books and supplies, attend an Orientation Session (see our High School Programs webpage for times and dates), and show up for class every day.

If you have any questions about the admissions and registration process, or the completion of any admissions forms, please call our Enrollment Services Center at (719)502-3000.
