Guidelines for International Students

Academic Load and Performance
In order to maintain a student visa, international students must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester credits per semester, summer term excluded, unless summer semester is the first semester of attendance. Additionally, students are expected to earn at least a 2.0 grade point average each semester.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance or scholarships are not available for international students at Pikes Peak Community College. All international students must have sufficient funds for their entire length of study.

Housing
Pikes Peak Community College does not provide apartments or dormitory facilities for students. There is a wide variety of off-campus housing available within Colorado Springs.

Health Insurance
Pikes Peak Community College requires international students to have accident and medical insurance coverage. Once you are accepted to the College and an I-20 is issued, an insurance brochure will be sent to you. You can purchase insurance at the Cashier’s Office. You will need to bring your insurance payment receipt (proof of insurance) to the English Language Institute (Centennial Campus, room A-229) so that we can keep a copy of it for our records. Insurance needs to be renewed each semester to remain in status as an F-1 student.
