Services for eLearning Students
The Library at Pikes Peak Community College has made many of its services readily available to its off-campus students by providing access through the library's Web site.
Several online subscription resources can be accessed through the Databases Page of the Web site, including outstanding periodical databases, a vast collection of electronic books, encyclopedias, and an image database. The Web Catalog, contains bibliographic information on all of the materials in the library's collection. Interlibrary Loans give you access to US libraries to borrow books or articles. You can find out more information on how to request an interlibrary loan from the circulation page.
Other services offered include checkout privileges from the book collection, reference assistance, and special faxing services. PPCC students who are not able to come to the Library to check out materials may find it most convenient to go through their local public library to borrow from the local library's collection. Local libraries are also searchable through the PPCC Libraries' catalog. Students may also request assistance through the Library's Interlibrary Loan department. If students need advice on research, they may contact a reference librarian at (719) 502-2400, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Replies to reference requests are generally sent within 48 hours of receipt. Depending on the nature of the request, the Library may provide faxing for some of its shorter print resources, such as articles from its periodical collection.
Students with other questions regarding library services should contact the Library at (719) 502-2400, or email@example.com.
