Placement Assessment

All first time college students and any non-exempt students who plan to earn a degree and/or certificate program must show they meet all pre-requisites before they can enroll in classes (unless you qualify for an exemption). This assessment will help us place you in the right courses when you start at Pikes Peak Community College.

New Assessment Starting April 8th, 2016

The Accuplacer® assessment has been replaced with the new Community College Placement Test (CCPT) to determine placement into most courses. Exceptions are in ESL and biology courses. If you have already taken the Accuplacer, don't worry. Your scores are still good for course placement if they are less han 5 years old.

The Testing Center also provides testing for e-Learning including: Interactive TV courses, Independent Study courses, Internet courses and Telecourses. Individual students can complete make-up tests as requested by instructors.

Students may take CLEP or DSST tests to receive college credit in a number of subjects areas such as accounting, biology, college algebra, English composition, foreign languages, humanities, management, natural sciences, and social science.

Schedule your CLEP, DSST, or Proctored exams (for colleges and universities - not PPCC) online at your convenience but NLT 72 hrs before your desired test date .
