Tutoring is over for the Spring semester. Check back for our summer tutoring schedule during the first week of classes. In the meantime, if you have any questions call us at (719) 502-3444. Have a great break!
Free and open tutoring to all PPCC students
All LAC tutors are trained and available to assist in your academic success. Lead Tutors provide drop-in tutoring for multiple subjects and college success assistance. Sessions are open and available on a walk-in basis. There is no appointment necessary and the student does not need to stay the whole time. Schedules and locations are subject to change.
Tutoring is dependent upon available resources and might be available on a limited basis when classes are not in session (e.g. Spring break but not a holiday break). Generally, tutoring is NOT offered when classes are NOT in session. Please ask.
If the schedule below does not meet your specific needs you may fill out an application for additional tutoring. Note: This application does not guarantee the LAC will have a tutor for your specific subject or one with availability that matches yours, but the staff will try to coordinate appropriate academic assistance.

Workshop Schedules
Placement Test Workshops for English and Math
The Placement Test Workshops are designed to help students place into the core (math, English, and reading) classes. They are generally provided at each of the four campuses (CC, RRC, DTSC, and FN). They are designed to help the continuing student and the student who has been away from the college environment for some time. Enough material is covered to help the prospective student into a PPCC offered class, but it does not cover upper division material. It is not an intense gathering that requires great preparation. Instead, the English lasts one hour and the math two hours. The start times vary and 1/2 hour separates them.

Finals Review Workshops
The Finals Review Workshops are scheduled a few days to one week before the course finals and are designed to help students get ready for that last, often cumulative, test. Tutors will cover major concepts from each level of the selected subject. They are held as close to the date of the final as possible to allow the student to 1) retain what was covered and 2) do some more practicing before the test. Students are encouraged to be proactive and ask finals-related questions during the weeks before the finals.
