Q: Can you help me?
A: YES. The lab staff can help with most computer/ program related problems. Remember that we are not trained in the programs and can not answer all questions but will try our best.
Q: How do I double space?
A: (In Microsoft Word)
1) Highlight double spacing area, or format before typing.
2) Choose Format
3) Paragraph
4) Line spacing
5) Choose DOUBLE SPACE in the drop down menu
6) Click OK

Q: How do I save?
A: To save for the first time
1) Choose File
2) Save As.
(to save again, click on the disk button in the menu bar, or choose file, save.)
3) Select the location you want to save to.
4) Name the file
5) Click OK
Q: How do I print?
A: Click on the printer icon or choose file-print.
* NOTE: Always use the print preview BEFORE printing.*
Q: How do I indent a paragraph?
A: Make certain cursor is at the line you want paragraphed, hit Tab on the keyboard.
Q: How do I spell check?
A: Click on the SPELL CHECK icon in the tool bar, or choose spell check under TOOLS.
Q: Do I need an I. D. to use the lab?
A: Yes, all students must show the lab staff a valid student I. D. to use a computer.
Q: When is the lab open/ how late are you open?
A: Click on lab hours in the toolbar above. The Lab Hours and days are also posted on the door and on the desk by the login computer.
