Transfer to Four-Year Colleges & Universities

Pikes Peak Community College has established a solid reputation for producing outstanding transfer students who earn their associate’s degree at PPCC and then transfer to a four-year college or university for their bachelor’s degree.

The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) is our number one transfer school.  Faculty and administrators there report that PPCC transfer students graduate with a slightly higher GPA than students who start at UCCS. Getting started at a community college provides an edge in many ways.

  • Small classes
  • Lower division classes taught by faculty rather than teaching assistants
  • Different scheduling options including on-campus, on-line, weekend, and hybrid course formats
  • Strong student support services
  • Value and cost savings

Throughout the academic year, we have representatives from colleges and universities who visit all our campuses to meet with students about transferring.  We have transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities in Colorado and across the country with guaranteed acceptance of PPCC credits.  Consult with your faculty advisor to ensure that you are following making the best choices by following a transfer advising guide or an approved transfer agreement.

We try to make it an easy transition for you!
