Business Transfer

Business Transfer imageWhen you really mean business.

At its most basic, business is the exchange of goods and services between people. In today’s world, business is the engine that makes our civilization run. The role of business is to make the world a better place for everyone - creating wealth and well-being, prosperity, jobs and choices. Business careers exist not only in large corporations, but in small businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and educational settings. More than 80% of businesses in the United States are small businesses with fewer than 10 employees. Every sector of our economy needs people with strong business skills.
By studying business, you’ll learn how to think strategically and act responsibly, be self-directed and be an effective team member, and understand the importance and functions of various aspects of running a business,.
A degree in Business has great flexibility, since it is an academic discipline covering many related subjects and how they interact with one another. In addition, it is a degree than can be used for employment across many different industries from high tech to manufacturing to healthcare and education administration.

The AA provides a solid foundation of study in the areas of arts and humanities, communication, or social sciences. Click here for track specific information.
Program Description
The Associate of Arts – Business Transfer Option allows you to take your first two years of study at PPCC, then transfer to a 4-year school to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. In addition to a well-rounded liberal arts education, you’ll receive a solid grounding in business foundations and principles, accounting, business communication and report writing, business statistics, economics, and the legal environment of business.
"60+60" Transfer Guarantee
Spend two years at PPCC, earning your Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, and we’ll send you off with half the credits you’ll need for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Guaranteed.
If you sign up for the 60+60 Bachelor’s Degree Transfer Program, we guarantee that the credits you’ve earned at PPCC will automatically be accepted by any four-year, public institution of higher learning in the state – providing, of course, you follow a few simple rules. For instance, you have to maintain at least a “C” in each of your 60+60 courses. And only approved 60+60 courses apply. But other than that, there’s hardly anything difficult about it.
If you think you might want to move on to a state college or university after completing your two years at PPCC, ask one of our advisors about the 60+60 program. Find out more at www.ppcc.edu/60plus60.

Employment Opportunities
The fields of business that can be emphasized at the 4-year school include management, finance, entrepreneurship, international business, marketing, sports management, and many more.
