PPCC Theatre Department presents a classic William Shakespeare comedy filled with shenanigans and mistaken identities.
When a shipwreck separates Viola from her twin brother, she washes up in a strange land and must disguise herself as a man to protect her virtue. She winds up in the service of the handsome Duke Orsino, delivering love letters to the grief-stricken beauty, Lady Olivia. The trouble is, Lady Olivia seems more interested in the messenger than the master. Meanwhile Olivia’s raucous uncle, Sir Toby Belch, and her clever lady’s maid, Maria, cook up some epic pranks to turn the household on its head. Love triangles, disguises, mischief, pirates, music, yellow stockings...the more tangled the knot the more delicious the unraveling.
There will be a Talkback with cast and the director following the matinee on April 20.
