Education: I started my education at Morgan Community College, earning my Associate of Arts Degree in Business. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 2015 and my Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2017 from UCCS.

Favorite thing about PPCC: I love the fact that PPCC can be for anyone. Whether you have a 4.0 GPA, need a fresh start, want to go into a trades field, or wants to earn credits to transfer, we have something for you here at PPCC.

When not at PPCC: I am a huge nerd and love anything that has to do with Harry Potter, Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings. I like to go home after work and decompress by playing xbox. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is my favorite place in Colorado Springs.

Advice for students: Ask questions! PPCC staff and faculty are here to help you succeed, but we need you to advocate for yourself and ask questions so we can help you. You are not in this alone.

Favorite thing about PPCC:  It gives me an opportunity to help in the work needed for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on campus and in the community. I get to bring together the minds, hands and arms of people who are shaping the future of the next generation. I get to meet and work with the community who wants and needs the caliber of PPCC students we educate.

Education: I earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication/Public Relations from Minnesota State University and a Master of Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources from University of Phoenix.

Favorite thing about PPCC: My favorite thing about PPCC is its multiple locations. PPCC has three main campuses and three learning centers. If those options don’t meet your needs, you can also take classes off campus through online learning. Students have the ability to choose where they want to learn.

When not at PPCC: You can find me hiking beautiful trails, thrift store shopping or checking out the local estate sales for some good bargains. Less adventurous days I enjoy reading and hanging out with my fur baby, Rio (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix).

Advice for students: Make friends and get comfortable hanging out by yourself, make friends with your professors. Take school like it's a job and work on building a solid work ethic. Don't be afraid to ask questions in class, speak up for yourself.

Meet Our Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassador Kitzia Anderson

I’m a student of the ESL program: English as a Second Language. After this class, I want to join the Nursing program. My favorite thing about PPCC is the professors' help; I enjoy the one-on-one experience. Parking is great too! I decided to apply to be an ambassador to practice English. My advice for other students is to use all of the resources that we have on campus.

PPCC Student Ambassador Josh Barnett

Hi Everyone, My name is Joshua, you can just call me Josh. I am studying Computer Science. My plans after college are to become a video game designer, and create massive worlds for the masses. I enjoy meeting new people, and getting to know more about them. My advice to prospective PPCC students is to take your time when it comes to making big choices, especially when transferring from high school to college. Do not rush any decisions whatsoever until you know what you want to do. I also always recommend everyone to face their fears, as it can be one of the most rewarding experiences one can have in life.

PPCC Student Ambassador Marianna Jaques

I’m an international student from Brazil majoring in Business. I plan on transferring to a 4-year institution to pursue a bachelors in International Business with a Pre-Law minor. I love the resources we have available on campus, like the Learning Commons. We have access to quiet study rooms, computers and printers, as well as free tutoring and wifi.

PPCC Student Ambassador Ceann Magraff

Hello there! I am a Multimedia Graphic Design student with an interest in getting into illustration and comics. After I graduate, I plan on going into the workforce and extending my portfolio. I love my job as a student ambassador because I get to connect with people from all walks of life and help them in any way I can. You'll likely see me around campus so say "hi" if you like!

PPCC Student Ambassador Nikki Tromble

Hello! I am completing my Associate degrees in the Arts and Sciences, both with an emphasis on my love for the environment. Afterwards, I'll complete my Bachelor's degree in Florida in hopes of working for The Global Institute of Sustainability. Starting college can be overwhelming so I always say that students should never leave a class with unanswered questions. In my experience, it can be uncomfortable to reach out but it can significantly ease the classroom experience!

PPCC Arnie Badge - no headshot

I am a communications major and am thinking of going into the Air Force after college, I will be graduated by next December. My advice for students is to ask questions and definitely go look for financial aid - it's a life saver! My favorite thing about PPCC is the accessibility of the college. So many people can come from all walks of life.
