The Student Government Association at Pikes Peak Community College is the official representative voice for our student body. We seek to create an environment of growth and success through the guidance and development of character, and by promoting change in favor of the interests, needs, and welfare of the student.

Club

Pikes Peak Community College Nursing Students (PPCCANS)

The purpose of this club is to offer support, leadership, and guidance to all nursing students enrolled in the Pikes Peak Community College Nursing Program by providing opportunities representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students. To assume responsibility for positively contributing to nursing education to promote success and professionalism and provide the highest quality of care.

There are no GPA requirements to join. The club is open to all students of PPCC with emphasis on pre-nursing, nursing assistants, and nursing students currently enrolled at PPCC.

Honorary Society

Phi Theta Kappa (Alpha Gamma Alpha Chapter)

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is about fellowship, scholarship, and leadership. PPCC's chapter Alpha Gamma Alpha is active and is constantly searching for new members. The focus of Phi Theta Kappa at PPCC is to enable members' personal and professional growth.

There is a required GPA minimum of 3.25 to join. An email invitation will be sent to your student email when you qualify.

There is a one-time membership fee of $80.00. This expense may be covered if the recipient is Pell Grant eligible.

Dental Assisting

The Dental Assisting Club aims to bring more awareness and to educate one another within the dental field.

There is no GPA requirement to join. The club dues are $10.00 per year.

Located at the Rampart Range Campus.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is a professional business collegiate counterpart of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). The PPCC Chapter of PBL participates in several activities and events, which include, but not limited to:

  • Interview, Business Etiquette, Dress of Success, and Resume workshops
  • March of Dimes and other fundraisers
  • Competitions at the State and National levels

There are no GPA requirements to join, but a minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for travel.

PBL meets at 3:30 on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month in A-221 on Centennial Campus.

New Club or Organization

Steps:

  1. Obtain a commitment from a minimum of 5 students. 
  2. Identify a full or part-time faculty or staff advisor.
  3. Write a constitution that establishes basic ground rules (a generic constitution is available).
  4. Send a copy of the proposed constitution to the Director of Student Life.
  5. Participate in advisor and student training (a minimum of two students must attend)
  6. Request to be put on Student Government Association's (SGA) meeting agenda.
  7. Discuss the reasons for creating a new club or organization with SGA.
  8. SGA votes on officially recognizing the new club or organization.
