Grants

Grants are free money that do not have to be paid back. There are many grants that can be awarded, such as the Federal Pell Grant, Colorado Student Grant (CSG), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) and the Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG).

 Grant Requirements

Grants

A need-based grant provided to low-income undergraduate students that does not have to be paid back*.

  • Must have demonstrated Financial Need determined by FAFSA through your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)

  • EFC must be between 0-5576

  • Pro-rated based on enrollment, based on eligibility 

  • Lifetime eligibility used for Pell is the equivalent of 6 years at full-time enrollment (600%)

This grant is a first-come, first-served fund available to Colorado residents who demonstrate financial need (determined by the EFC from FAFSA).

  • Must be attending at least 6 credit hours

  • EFC must be between 0-8364

  • Pro-rated based on enrollment  

This grant is for students who otherwise would be Pell Grant eligible and whose parent or guardian died as a result of U.S. military service in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001.

*Cannot receive both Pell Grant and IASG.

  • Pro-rated based on enrollment, based on eligibility 

  • Lifetime eligibility used for Pell is the equivalent of 6 years at full-time enrollment (600%)

This grant is a first-come, first-served fund available to non-resident PPCC students with exceptional financial need (as determined by the EFC from FAFSA).

  • Must be attending at least 6 credit hours

  • Student at PPCC must have a 0 EFC to qualify, PPCC Reserves these funds for Non-Residents 

  • Pro-rated based on enrollment
