If you attend PPCC for both Fall and Spring Semesters and are interested in a loan
for summer or you feel your current financial aid will not cover summer expenses,
you may be eligible for low interest federal student loans.
To request a federal student loan for summer:
Before requesting a loan, we recommend reviewing annual and lifetime loan limits.
In addition to administering a wide-ranging program of grants, loans and work-study positions, PPCC provides recourses for scholarships.
Apply for FAFSA each year beginning October 1 for the following academic year but remember PPCC's priority deadline is March 31st.

Complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA for the Spring 2022 Semester
Complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA for the Fall 2022 Semester
March 31 is the priority deadline for FAFSA. You can still apply after this date,
but your funds aren't guaranteed.
Login to your FAFSA and ensure there is no additional action that needs to be taken on your part.
Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) carefully to make sure there are no typos or errors. If there are, login and correct your application.
If your SAR has an asterisk * in the upper right hand corner, you may be required to submit documents to the financial aid office.
PPCC will receive it within 3-5 business days from the date you have submitted it, we may request additional information from you.
Keep an eye on you PPCC school issued email for requested information.
Once PPCC has your award offer ready, you may access it via your MyPPCC Portal and from the Dashboard select the Financial Aid Award icon.
PPCC accepts grants on your behalf, as they are free monies. You will chose to accept your work-study and loan offers.
All financial aid students are required to maintain good academic standing by maintaining a 2.0 GP and completing 67% of their overall attempted credits.
Any change to your eligibility will be communicated via your PPCC email.
It can take 3-5 days for PPCC to receive your FAFSA from Federal Student Aid
Within a week of receipt, you will receive an email from our office if we are needing additional information
It can take 2-3 weeks, depending on the time of the year for PPCC to process any additional documents submitted
PPCC begins releasing aid for your balance the Monday after the drop date of your semester.
Book Advances are available 2 weeks from the start of the semester.
Refunds arrive in your selected refund preference within 7 business days from the release date.
Check your PPCC School Issued email on a regular basis, to prevent missing any important information.
Verification is the process schools use to confirm that the data reported on your FAFSA form is accurate.
Being selected does not mean you did something wrong, students are randomly selected by Central Processing Center.
If you are selected, we will ask for additional documents. You access this via your MyPPCC Portal Dashboard by selecting the Financial Aid Requirements icon.
Parents will need to create their own FSA ID.
The Federal Student Aid Estimator is a free tool that helps students quickly calculate the amount of financial aid they may be eligible to receive. Students will receive a nonbinding estimate of their Expected Family Contribution (EFC), along with estimated eligibility for Federal Pell Grants, work-study funds, and federal student loans.
