State Authorization for PPCC Online Students

Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) is currently working cooperatively with higher education authorities in all states and other U.S. jurisdictions to ensure compliance with state authorization requirements that govern the offering of courses in those states, including complaint processes. PPCC will continue to monitor developments in the jurisdictions in which it enrolls students, and, if authorization or licensure is or becomes necessary, it will obtain approvals or provide notice here of the jurisdictions in which it is not authorized to offer courses or programs.

Pikes Peak Community College is an institutional participant in the SARA initiative, website (www.nc-sara.org).

Currently PPCC has approval to offer courses in the following states:

In addition to being a participant in SARA, PPCC has individual agreements with all other states not listed below as not authorized

If you are not an on-campus student at PPCC institution and plan to enroll in eLearning classes, please check the information provided above to verify that your state has either authorized or exempted our college to offer such classes or programs to you as a resident of that state.

If you reside in an “unauthorized” state and plan to take PPCC Online Campus classes, please check the information provided above to verify that your state has either authorized or exempted our college to offer such classes or programs to you as a resident of that state.

Should you move from an unauthorized state to a state where we are able to offer you online classes from PPCC, the following procedure is needed to release an enrollment (SARA) hold on your account:

  1. Student must update their address on their PPCC Student Portal (address information can be updated on the “Student” Tab of the Student Portal).
  2. Student should contact Enrollment Services by visiting one of the PPCC campuses or by calling 719.502.3000 to request the SARA hold be lifted.
