The Trustees of the Kane Family Foundation have partnered with Pikes Peak Community College and the Foundation for PPCC to offer the Kane Family Foundation Scholarship to high-achieving high school students who enroll at PPCC. The Kane Family Foundation currently allocates about half of the scholarships to PPCC students who plan to pursue an Associate’s degree at PPCC and half to PPCC student who plan to complete two years of study at PPCC, then transfer to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) to complete the bachelor degree.
About the Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students who are eligible for in-state tuition and who make a commitment to complete their course of study and earn the targeted degree in no more than 4 semesters (for those pursuing an Associate’s degree) or 8 semesters (for those pursuing the Bachelor’s degree). The scholarship covers full tuition, mandatory fees and required books and materials.
To qualify candidates need to have a 3.0 or higher GPA and must be able to complete their goals in either two or four years depending on which scholarship a student is awarded. The typical work load for students is 14 or higher credit hours per semester. In order for students to be successful with this rigorous course-load, students are required to meet with an advisor twice each semester.
