Classified Employees

The State of Colorado pays 100% of an employee's premium for $50,000 Basic Term Life and $50,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment. In addition to company-paid life insurance, classified employees are given the opportunity to purchase optional life insurance. Plan options are offered by Minnesota Life.

Flexible Spending Account Plans

Permanent employees of Pikes Peak Community College are offered flexible spending account (FSA) plans to elect benefits on a pre-tax or post-tax basis. There are two types of flexible spending accounts - Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA. Plan options are dependent upon employee classification.

Retirement Plans

Employees of Pikes Peak Community College are offered mandatory and supplemental retirement options. The Colorado Public Employee's Retirement Association (PERA) provides retirement and other benefits to State of Colorado employees. New employees are offered the PERA Choice Plans - PERA DB (defined benefit) or PERA DC (defined contribution).
