Pikes Peak Community College is committed to providing professional development through activities that develop a better understanding of the College's role and mission, enhances student learning, develops leadership and management skills and promotes individual and organizational effectiveness. Professional development is a shared responsibility between the College and the individual. Participation in professional development activities is not an entitlement but is granted on the basis of merit. Professional development participation is granted at the discretion of the College President, subject to availability and approval of the supervisor. Employees of the Pikes Peak Community College may be eligible for educational benefit at PPCC, University of Colorado Colorado Springs or Colorado Technical University.
PPCC Employee Tuition Assistance
PPCC employees and their dependents who are eligible for CCCS or state classified health benefit program, may enroll in state-funded credit courses at any state system community college and may be reimbursed by the college, subject to Board Policy limitations.
Tuition Reimbursement year runs Fall-Spring-Summer. FAFSA year (for those with dependents utilizing tuition reimbursement) runs Fall-Spring-Summer. All employees and dependents must apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF), in order to participate in tuition reimbursement.

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs
Faculty/Staff Tuition Waiver
Permanent full-time PPCC employees may be eligible to receive a tuition waiver for up to six undergraduate credit hours per academic year at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Part-time PPCC permanent employees may be eligible to receive a tuition waiver of three credit hours per academic year.
Colorado Technical University
Colorado Technical University (CTU) provides special tuition rates for eligible PPCC full-time faculty and staff enrolled in CTU master’s level courses. CTU has agreed to waive the normal student application fee, charge eligible PPCC employees only $125.00 per credit hour for master’s level courses taken on the Colorado Springs Campus ($500 for a 4 credit hours course). For each course conducted through the CTU virtual campus an additional technology fee of $150 per course will be assessed. Payment of all tuition costs and non-waived fees is the sole responsibility of the individual student.
CTU is a regionally accredited university that offers degree programs at ground campuses and through its Online Division that uses an Internet–based platform. CTU currently has 2 ground campuses in Denver CO, and 1 each in Colorado Springs CO, Pueblo CO, Sioux Falls SD, and North Kansas City MO.
