Report your placement information

At Pikes Peak Community College there are many ways to show us you are ready to take classes. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, are going to college for the first time, or are transferring from another college, you have options!


Use the Academic History forms to report on your placement information for English and Math.


You do not need to submit the Academic History Form if you do not have any transcripts or test scores to report on.


If you have transcripts (high school or college) or test scores you would like the Testing Center to review for additional placement options, please submit them below.

Academic History - English

Use this form to submit your information to see if you meet College Reading and Writing Literacy placement requirements.

Academic History - Math

Use this form to submit your information to see if you meet College Quantitative Literacy and/or College Algebraic Literacy placement requirements.

High School students interested in concurrent enrollment (taking PPCC classes while still in high school) cannot report their placement data using the forms above. Please send your high school transcript, SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, IB, or other scores directly to testing.center@ppcc.edu or submit copies below.

Military or veteran affiliated students submitting scores to justify enrollment in college prep or co-requisite courses cannot report their placement data using the forms above. Please export your EdReady scores directly to testing.center@ppcc.edu or submit your Accuplacer scores below.

 

 

Click on the lists below to see how you can place into college level courses. If you have these scores, please report them on the Academic History Form or submit transcripts for review. Some courses may require higher test scores than the scores listed below, consult the Test Score Matrix for more information:

English Placement

  • Grade of “B” or better in a year of 11th grade English completed within the last 2 years

Math Placement

  • Grade of “B” or better in a year of Algebra II or higher completed within the last 18 months

  • GED Reasoning through Language Arts Score 165
  • HiSet Language Arts Writing or Reading Score 15
  • TASC Language Arts Reading Score 580 or Language Arts Writing Score 560 with Essay Score 6

Math Placement

  • GED Mathematical Reasoning Score 165
  • HiSet Math Score 15
  • TASC Math Score 560

  • English Score 18 and Reading Score 17

Math Placement

  • Math Score 19

  • SAT Evidenced Based Reading & Writing Score 470

Math Placement

  • SAT Math Score 500

**If you have previously earned a degree, please fill out the Previous Degree Appeal Form

English Placement

  • Equivalent course found in TES  to:
    • CCR 092 less than 5 years ago, or
    • ENG 121 or higher less than 15 years ago
  • AA, AS, BA, BS, Masters or PhD completed

Math Placement

  • Equivalent course found in TES  to:
    • MAT 050 less than 5 years ago, or
    • MAT 103 higher less than 15 years ago
  • AA, AS, BA, BS, Masters or PhD completed

 

 

English Placement

  • If you have earned credit from a College Credit Exam you meet the college-prep pre-requisite for that course.
  • Review the Test Matrix to see what scores are needed to earn college credit

Math Placement

  • If you have earned credit from a College Credit Exam you meet the college-prep pre-requisite for that course.

  • Accuplacer Classic Sentence Skills Score 95 and Reading Comprehension Score 80

Math Placement

  • Next Generation Accuplacer Arithmetic Score 265 or QAS Score 240 or AAF 245
  • Accuplacer Classic Elementary Algebra Score 61
