In accordance with ES 9-40, students who have earned a degree may pursue a second degree (AA, AS or AGS). Students returning to the college after a period of non-enrollment or entering for the first time must submit an application for admission. Admitted students should be aware of the following restrictions and impact of a second degree designated as an Associate of General Studies (AGS).
- Available federal financial aid may be limited or unavailable depending on the total number of credits you’ve already attempted throughout your entire college enrollment history. If you have questions about Financial Aid, please contact Rhonda Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 719-502-2059.
It is generally not advisable to pursue an AGS degree once another degree has been earned. However, PPCC recognizes that there are circumstances in which students may desire additional degrees/certificates for employment, transfer or for personal growth and satisfaction. We want to work in support of your educational and life goals within the considerations listed above.
In order to authorize processing of your intent to pursue a second degree designated as an AGS, please indicate that you understand and accept the conditions listed above with your signature.
