Why Hydroponics?

While the hydroponics system has been in use for centuries, it became public knowledge in 1929 by William Frederick Gericke who wanted to engineer a new way of crop production.

The basic premise of any hydroponics systems uses nutrient rich water solvents rather than soil for plant growth, and is often grown in sand, gravel, or an organic mesh like material. PPCC has established a hydroponics system that not only saves money on plant maintenance, but provides vegetables and clean indoor air for the student and staff.
