What

The Office of Sustainability and Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) partnered with the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) to provide you with unlimited access to the virtual Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (#GCSHE). 

Conference Theme

Humanity faces a series of intensifying and interrelated social and ecological crises. Solving these crises requires a holistic transformation: a shift from an extractive economy to a regenerative economy. With a theme of “Mobilizing for a Just Transition,” this year’s Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education will focus on centering justice within this transformation and ensuring that it leaves no one behind.

Where

The conference is entirely virtual. You can register and access the sessions and presentations on this conference webpage. When registering, use your students, faculty, or staff email and the discount code PIKESPEAK100520. You should not have to enter your credit card information if you have registered using your student, faculty, or staff email. You are able to register up to November 20 since many of the live sessions will be recorded and available after the conference until November 22, 2020. 

After you have registered, make sure you receive and save the confirmation email with your confirmation number. You should get another email from aashe@hubb.me on October 14 that provides you with access to the "Hubb" (the virtual conference platform) that will enable you to search/filter for sessions and add them to the calendar within the platform and a personal online calendar. 

Staff, Faculty, and Student Staff Professional Development 

PPCC Employees can earn the Sustainability Leader - Basic  badge in as little as 3 days through this conference by:

We highly encourage LIVE attendance to the sessions. However, you will have access to on-demand sessions, as well as keynote sessions, for up to a month after the conference.

Adjunct Advancement Program (AAP)
